Personalized DATA Science Research & Project support Opportunities
Our mission is to lead and support the growth of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other areas of data science through research, education, service, and partnerships.
Advance Your Data-Driven Research at TAMIDS
TAMIDS supports personalized, hands-on engagement in research and applied projects—no matter your experience level, discipline, or goals. In addition to our rich suite of tailored programs—including the Bring‑Your‑Own‑Data consultancy, research development workshops, the Data Science Capstone program, and more—TAMIDS works with individual researchers, teams, or companies to define, refine, and advance their own research goals.

Service & Enablement
TAMIDS staff, data scientists, student researchers, and affiliate faculty acting as research collaborators and consultants on small to large projects.

Course & Training Development
Incorporating research products into training materials or adapting Data Science educational and training materials developed by TAMIDS as components of innovative certificates, minors, and degree programs in foundational and application domains of Data Science.

Training Operations and Outreach
Scheduling and operating training courses in Data Science for students, faculty, staff, and working professionals in industry, including outreach for participation and training of instructors from a wide range of expertise levels and domains.

Interdisciplinary Team & Community Building
Ranging from small research teams for a single project to center-level proposals to communities of practice, TAMIDS supports the creation or enhancement of research and learning groups with a common need or interest through logistical support, consultation, workshops and seminars, and other development activities.
Ready to go support!
TAMIDS has developed “building blocks” for the AI, machine learning, and data science ecosystems that can support proposals for extramural funding.
TAMIDS currently collaborates on educational components of the NSF funded project CC* Team: SWEETER–SouthWest Expertise in Expanding, Training, Education and Research, and is a collaborator on several proposals pending or in development.
TAMIDS supports several recent and ongoing education and training programs in Data Science that may be included in or adapted to other roles:
- TAMIDS Data Science Bootcamp
- TAMIDS Data Science Webinar Series
- ECEN 489 Computational Data Science, in collaboration with TEES, Texas A&M HPRC and Texas A&M Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
- TAMIDS PhD Research Workshop

In Texas and Globally
