On Monday, March 27th Dr. Yannis Kevrekidis, a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at John Hopkins, will give a SciML Lab Seminar on “No Equations, No Variables, No Space, No Time: Data and the Modelling of Complex Systems.”
On Marth 29th, 2023, Dr. Abhishek Chakrabortty, an Assistant Professor for Texas A&M Department of Statistics, will present a TAMIDS Data Science Seminar on “Causal Inference for Treatment Effects from Observational Data: An Overview”.

On April 10th, 2023, Dr. Shuiwang Ji, a Professor and Presidential Impact Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M, will present a TAMIDS Tutorial on “Frontiers of Graph Neural Networks with the Dive-Into-Graphs (DIG) Library”.
On Thursday, April 13th, the TAMIDS Workshop on Network Science will bring together students and faculty at Texas A&M interested in both theoretical and applied aspects of network science and graph analysis. The workshop will include talks from faculty across several different departments on campus and will conclude with a poster session on student research projects.

On Wednesday, April 19th, Dr. Martin Klein, a scientist at the Research Library of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, will present a TAMIDS Tech Talk titled “We Are Losing Our Scholarly Record – and What We Can Do About It”.
Dr. Michael Goodchild will deliver a public talk at 930am-11am on April 20 (Thursday) titled “Digital Twins, Digital Earth, and Ethics” at Langford Adam’s Presentation Room (A212), as the inaugural talk for Center for Geospatial Sciences, Applications and Technology, in light of the coming decades of Merged Physical/Digital World. He is Member of National Academy of Sciences and is widely considered as the originator of the field of Geographic Information Science. He is also Fellow of the British Academy, Foreign Member of the Royal Society, Member of American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Foreign Fellow of Royal Society of Canada. He received the Vautrin Lud Prize, often referred to as the Nobel Prize in Geography
On May 19th, Tim Althoff, an assistant professor at the University of Washington, will present a TAMIDS Tech Talk titled “Human-AI Collaboration Enables More Empathic Conversations in Mental Health Support”.
