In the Fall 2024 semester, eighteen students completed our Master of Science in Data Science (MSDS) Program. This program offers four unique tracks from the Texas A&M Departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Statistics. Of the eighteen graduates, eleven completed the program with a focus in computer science and engineering, three in statistics, two in electrical and computer engineering, and two in mathematics.
During their time in our program, these students also worked as research assistants or interns in their respective fields. Uma Sivakumar (bottom row) worked to develop risk assessment models that evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the infrastructure of the US supply chain using Bayesian Networks. Tobi Oladunjoye (middle row) interned at GE as a Data Analyst where he used Python and Excel to visualize the core business KPIs and automated reports to streamline data entry, saving weeks of manual reporting!
We are so proud of these graduates and look forward to seeing what the future holds for their careers as data scientists! For more information about our MSDS program, visit our program’s homepage.
