Exam Preparation

Data professionals are in high demand, with CompTIA Data+ certified professionals earning an average salary of $110,000. The CompTIA Data+ (V2) certification validates the ability to analyze data, apply data-driven decision-making, and manage data lifecycles—skills essential for organizational competitiveness. Covering core concepts in data analysis, visualization, governance, and statistics, Data+ provides early-career professionals with a strong entry point into analytics while giving working professionals a recognized credential to formalize and strengthen their data expertise.
The Texas A&M Institute of Data Science has partnered with the one and only Jason Dion to help deliver content and keep you engaged as you achieve your learning objectives. Jason has trained over 200,000 students worldwide in cybersecurity, information technology, data analytics, and project management. He has a talent for making complicated concepts easy to understand, engaging, and even fun.

How It Works
This is a self-paced, asynchronous course where you can come and go as your schedule allows.
The course includes approximately 19 short and easy-to-follow modules with videos and notes that cover concepts step by step. Short assessments at the end of each module check your knowledge and reinforce learning. You will also have the opportunity to practice what you learn through hands-on exercises and practice questions designed to mirror the CompTIA Data+ exam experience. Major objectives are assessed at the end of the learning modules, with dedicated exam-preparation materials to ensure you are ready to succeed.
Your training administrator instructor, De’Ambra Harmon, will facilitate, encourage, help, and ensure that you finish what you started. Finally, once you are ready, we will issue you a voucher to take the CompTIA Data+ exam at a certified testing location or through online proctoring.
