The Departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Statistics collaborate with the Texas A&M Institute of Data Science to offer the Data Science Graduate Program, an on-campus interdisciplinary program within the university’s Colleges of Engineering and Arts & Sciences. Each of the four academic departments offers a track in the program and the multidisciplinary curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, computer science, and machine learning through core courses. After that, students can choose from elective courses offered by the various participating departments.

Benefits of Our Program

About the Four Tracks
TAMIDS partners with four academic departments that each offer a track to personalize your experience in our program. These tracks include Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering, and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Students choose a track when they apply and stay in that track for the duration of their studies, but they can take electives from other participating departments. Graduates of the MSDS program gain proficiency in advanced mathematics, analytics, computer programming, artificial intelligence, and data governance, therefore preparing them to tackle real-world challenges and uncover valuable insights from data.
