Texas A&M High Performance Research Computing invites you to attend a mini workshop on Data Science / Artificial Intelligence / Deep Learning and the Cloud.
Speakers: Dr. Khalid Ahmed and Dr. Frank Lee, IBM
Date: September 23rd, 2:00-4:00pm
Location: MSC Room 2404
The workshop will share an update on HPDA (High Performance Data Analysis) crosses all disciplines of Data Science – AI/DL. We will illustrate how existing HPC tools such as Spectrum LSF (the job scheduler used on TAMU’s ADA supercomputer) can be applied for bursting workloads to clouds locally and remotely. We will also explore the topics of container use and orchestration for HPC and preview the potential of integrating HPC workload manager with container orchestration (eg. Kubernetes). This workshop will cover the orchestrator and the datahub, and center around the use cases for AI, HPC and Kubernetes/Openshift integration. Finally, the workshop will discuss/highlight the challenges of data and provenance management in HPC cloud bursting.
Refreshments will be served at the workshop. Registration is not required.
