TAMIDS Welcomes Latest Cohort of Data Science Ambassadors

We are pleased to introduce the 2026-2027 cohort of Student Ambassadors! These graduate students were selected for our highly competitive Student Ambassador Scholarship Program based on their dedication to AI literacy and passion for educating others about the resources available at Texas A&M. 

Through outreach and engagement activities, the program helps graduate students develop leadership, technical, and instructional skills. Ambassadors can choose between two tracks – Domain Data Science (DDS) and Generative AI (GAI) – allowing them to align their work with their personal interests. 

• DDS Ambassadors host educational events on campus to introduce their home departments to practical AI tools they can apply to their research or professional work. 
• GAI Ambassadors conduct one-on-one sessions, open to all Texas A&M students, staff, and researchers, to serve as consultants and help formulate AI-centric approaches to research challenges. 

The ambassadors’ activities and mentorship will help shape how Texas A&M interacts with emerging technologies like AI. TAMIDS is excited to welcome these students to the program, and we look forward to broadening their professional development and extending the Institute’s reach into new communities and audiences.
