What is the Coffee Connections Program?

The Coffee Connections program facilitates cross-departmental interactions among Texas A&M researchers interested in Data Science. Through this program, TAMIDS provides a platform that randomly pairs participants each month, who can then arrange a 30-min meeting to exchange ideas. While we expect people connecting through Data Science Coffee Connections will be drawn by a shared interest in Data Science, it’s entirely up to you where you take the conversation. Our goal is to foster research collaborations that might not happen otherwise.

How does it work?

Joining the Coffee Connections program requires that you be a PI-eligible TAMU employee. To sign up, you will need your TAMU NetID. Once you sign up, our platform generates a random pairing and notifies you and your partner that you have matched. Within a month of receiving this notification, you and your coffee partner arrange to meet at a time and place of your choosing. At the end of each month, you will be paired with a new partner! New members can join, and current members can pause or cancel their participation at any time.
